Our Focus: Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) In lieu of establishing traditional private equity and venture capital funds which require a minimum of 5-11 year commitments. These special purpose vehicles or “SPVs” are available to qualified individual investors providing access to stakes in the same private venture-backed companies traditionally available to institutions only. Qualified investors must have the ability to sustain the risks associated with venture capital investments, including a lack of liquidity for sustained periods of time and almost no issuer transparency or customary due diligence in order to be eligible to participate in these pooled funds designed to give them economic interests in the securities of targeted private issuers.
